Hi Guys, wonder if you can help, was doing a bit of a clean up on apps and noticed my camera app is 1.59gb in size, done cache and data but still returns to the same size, any ideas ?
I have Samsung A54 UI 7.0 Android 15 and Samsung Tab S7 UI 5.1 Android 13.
A54 can view and delete the invisible backup via Setting -> Device Care -> Storage. But Tab S7 cannot. To reclaim the Camera app Data storage of Tab S7,
- screen capture your app Camera App info -> Storage (Data)
- copy the Screenshots, DCIM\Camera, any edited pictures folders into the external USB flash drive. Unmount the flash drive (trial only one folder , either from the internal storage folder or the external storage folder)
- Delete the folder which your have made the copy
- wait for the next day so that the system software will reclaim the invisible backup photos, video since the it took times for background tasks if you have many thousand of files.
- screen capture your app Camera App info -> Storage (Data) . compare with the previous one. How much do you reclaim the Camera app storage?
- copy the USB flash drive folder back to the internal storage , or the external storage.
- on the third day , screen capture your app Camera App info -> Storage (Data) . compare three of them. How much do you reclaim the Camera app storage?
- If you accept this solution, now you can repeat the steps for every image/video folders (both an internal storage and an external storage folders)
