Since early September, Android Auto will no longer work via USB in my car with my Samsing S9. Prior to then, it was working perfectly.
I've reset the phone, the car's head unit, cleared out the cache and data storage on Android Auto, Google Play Services and Google Maps.
I've changed the USB cable too, but nothing has made any difference. The car sees that something is trying to connect but it drops immediately, then repeats the cycle ad infinitum.
Weird thing is, it all works fine with my A5....
Any suggestions?

Hi @DaddyP
somebody resolve it by forgetting his car in the AA interface and forgetting his phone in the car AA Settings. Maybe you will understand more by reading his post :

Thanks, but I tried that by resetting both the phone and the car unit. Didn't work.
I've also been through all the troubleshooting steps with the Android Auto team.

Nope. Went to the car dealer and they upgraded the software in the car unit, but it still won't work. However, I've tried it in other cars and it works in some and not others.... very strange. Suspect that it's a car software issue.

Thank you. My car is a Touran 2015. Could be the same issue.

Ugh, same issue here. Tried all of above. At dealership tried other androids (galaxy s 10 + note 10) worked flawlessly. I have updated s9 plus. Nothing...
Narrowed it down to something with the phone. But my phone works perfectly in my wife's AA car. Grrr! No relief!

I have the same issue from Sep, interesting is my Note 8 is working fine but not the S9, so it is not the car system issue. suspect is is due to S9 upgrade issue. Samsung owe us an answer!
