Alarm clock frustration

After any software update the alarm clock function changes so that you have to go thru phone unlock steps before being able to snooze or turn off the alarm when it goes off. It's really irritating as it used to be fine and cud snooze alarm without having to unlock. 

I've tried uninstalling latest alarm clock update, which worked for a while, but next update undoes this and makes it not work properly again, even tho alarm clock is excluded from the update.

Can thus be fixed or am I better off finding new non Samsung app?

I do not experience this problem, as I am using Samsung's native Clock app on the S8, but if this issue is concerning you, then I would suggest finding another reputable Clock app, that does not require you to unlock the phone, in order to turn off/snooze the alarm. Hope this helps! 😁

I just press my volume down key and it goes onto snooze automatically
