The 6.1 upgrade killed my touchscreen. I did have it replaced, probably with an aftermarket from what I've read. Is there a way to revert to the previous version? Not cool Samsung!

  • oh man, this is awful, I had the exact same issue, Luckily I was still under warranty and replaced my phone with another s21 ultra, btw, I stayed on oneUI 6.0, NEVER UPDATING AGAIN.

With this shitty and horrible experience I won't buy a SAMSUNG phone again, THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY IN THE ENVIRONMENT, they just want you to pay for a fix or another stupid product from theirs due to an issue THEY CAUSED.

Not cool!

This is a conspiracy theory by me haha but what if they are doing this on purpose to make people buy their newest phones?

I'm not one of the people that goes out to buy the latest phone for vanity points. I bought my S21U renewed to save a bit of money after my S8+ screen went out. Had that since new back in 2017.  To buy this and have the company break it 4 months after purchase is unacceptable to me. I won't be buying another phone, at least not from them.

If your version is the SM-G998U1 or SM-G998U, I'm sorry to inform you that this is not available on this model, making it impossible to root and correct the problem.

These U.S. models don't allow OEM unlocking, preventing system modifications. I've seen videos where the issue is fixed by re-enabling the touchscreen, but this only works on devices with OEM unlocking. The fix depends on Samsung, and I'm hoping One UI 7 will resolve it.

The problem has been persisting for 6 months now and still no solution has been proposed by Samsung. As far as I'm concerned, I wrote to Samsung Morocco to find a solution, They assured me that they would find a solution for me and get back to me, the last discussion I had with them to get news was 1 month and 1 week ago ...While I had mentioned my problem to them since July 11th... They completely ghosted me 🙂All I wanted to say is that in the near future before you buy a new Samsung device, think twice because if there is a problem they will let you down
