You ignore customer feedback on updates

I came to complain about the latest update, installed July 2025. I see previous updates have caused similar complaints. Ignored by Samsung. I know you pay developers who feel they have to keep changing things. But STOP!

Ok, if there's a security update, provide it... but don't change my phone into a different phone in the process.

My audio, music, clock, side buttons and pullbdiwn menus all changed and mske no sense., ditto the copy and paste methods.

I'm a lifelong customer but I'm duevan upgrade and seriously considering alternative phones.

Most annoying is battery indicator... used to plug in charger and a large number in a circle appeared on screen showing charging levels.

Now it appears as a  tiny bos that half the population need a microscope to view.

Needless , pointless and super annoying.

Hi and welcome, unfortunately this is the wrong place for your feedback, this is a customer to customer forum, you are better off sending your concerns to Samsung directly, you can do that via the send feedback option in the members app.

But I will say don't expect much to be changed as Samsung would require a large number of their customers making these complaints to make it viable to make these changes. I hope this helps 🙏

What exactly did you expect when you shared your feedback?

That Samsung would change an entire ecosystem because you sent them a feedback report?

There are literally HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of devices running One UI7 (and now 8). The vast majority of users are ok with One UI7. Yes some members and customers don't like it or haven't customised their device but in comparison the numbers are quite small even if they are vocal.

For myself, I don't like her battery pill but otherwise I find One UI7 and UI8 beta to be fine. I can't get excited about the fact that an icon looks different etc.

Software will evolve. Some changes are driven by Google, some by Samsung.
Other android manufacturers change software each year, is everyone happy with the changes? No. But the vast majority are ok with them. Same with Apple.

There is a big difference between ignoring and not agreeing. Just because you and a few thousand others don't like something, doesn't mean it should be changed when there are 100,000,000's of devices out there with the software.

Hi @Members_EgNNfMg Welcome to the Samsung Community 😀 

We have heard similar views expressed before but in the main folk are fairly satisfied with One UI7 . You can only really expect at best minor changes with some of the gripes. The Battery pill does not suit everyone but a widget would be a workaround and the software is very customisable with Good Lock.  You will not be able to revert everything though. It's unacceptable when you change the use of the side button for off/on people who have accessibility needs.
Don't give us the "most people find it ok" line as that's insulting

"*You* change" is the wrong term. Samsung dont see these forums. Youre on a forum filled with customers just as yourself, and yes- even the samsung members stars do not work for samsung.

Sadly that is true. They don't pay us (well other than in kind).

The commenter though needs to get facts right as it is possible to change the side button to a different option to suit their (accessibility) needs. When will people understand that One UI7 is one of the most customisable software to hit mobile devices ever?
