Why hasn't the samsung cloud restored all my app settings?????? I want to restore everything, not just apps (with no app data).

I'm trying to restore everything from one samsung a41 to another a41 whose screen died. When I do a restore from the samsung cloud, all it does is download the apps I had installed and add email accounts (without passwords). It doesn't doesn't restore any of the settings for the apps. It's just installed a fresh copy of the apps. So now I have to re-arrange all my apps (because it's just dumped them one after the other and not in folders like I had them) and then manually go to 100+ apps and sign into all of them with different passwords and also re-set up authenticator apps (don't even know if this is possible), banking apps etc. etc.

So, my question is; "Is this right?"

Why doesn't restore actually restore all my app settings, preferences, accounts, passwords for the apps etc. etc.

Have I done something wrong? I can see there's a 3.7Gb samsung cloud backup file I restored from.

I can't turn on my old phone, but if I could change the screen (which costs more than the used phone I just bought), could I do anything differently via samsung or google cloud (or some other way) that will actually restore all my settings as well?

I can't believe I can't restore everything. I'm sure years and years ago with an iphone when I bought a new phone everything restored over.

How do u mean? A backup is for the apps, not the data. Because if someone accessed ur back up, you could potentially be liable to security risks.
