Hi,
I use the "French with accent" Samsung keyboard (the one where the apostrophe key also adds the correct accent depending on the previous letter). For example:
e + ’ = é
u + ’ = û (and holding the key shows more accents)
If it’s a consonant before, it stays a normal apostrophe.
On the default Samsung keyboard, everything works fine.
But as soon as I customize this keyboard with Keys Café (even without changing that key or the layout, just save the keyboard as it is), this special behavior disappears. The key just becomes a simple apostrophe and no longer applies accents.
I’ve already tried:
Re-selecting the French keyboard in settings
Updating Samsung Keyboard + Keys Café
Disabling predictive text
→ no improvement
So either it’s a bug, or Keys Café can’t handle this special key behavior.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
And does a workaround exist to keep this accent feature while still using a custom layout?
Thanks in advance.
