Hi. Recently moved from an iPhone to the flip 6 and have a question I’m hoping someone can assist me.
My WhatsApp chats didn’t migrate over even tho I followed the instructions correctly. It’s since logged me out on iOS as now installed on the flip.

My question is…..if I reinstall iOS would this get my WhatsApp chats back as per the back up? (To try the move again. I’d remove WhatsApp from my flip at the same time) Or would that not work as it’s now associated with my flip ? Hope that makes sense.

First question, did you back up chats on your iPhone. If you did, then I think it's on iCloud. I'm not an iPhone user for my personal phone, but my company phone is, but I haven't backed up the chat on my company phone.
If it's backed up on iCloud then I'm not sure how you can restore it on an android phone.

Maybe others can chime in here.

I did backup to iCloud but when i transferred over I used the cable method.

@illyb2001: WhatsApp has its own dedicated backup process, which can be accessed by opening WhatsApp > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Chats > Chat backup > Back up. If done correctly, you should be prompted to restore the backup during the set up stage when you open WhatsApp on your new phone. 

If you still have access to your previous phone, then you may wish to try uninstalling WhatsApp on your Flip, backup the chats on your iOS device, then re-install WhatsApp on the Flip and run through the set-up once again. Alternatively, in Settings > Chats, there is an option called 'Transfer chats' which you might wish to consider.
