I want, no, need to display filenames of videos in Gallery, but it seems there is no way to do this?!?

It seems stupid that I'm supposed to identify the videos by their thumbnails, when many vids aren't supported by gallery so just show a blank thunbnail, and I'm left guessing by the video length...

Seriously, why would the devs display the video length and omit the video title?

Its more stupid than having to open a picture and swipe up to get its filename.

Was #samsung #gallery designed by *****?

You  can see the filename of any video the same way you would with a picture: by opening the details view.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to see or change the filename of a video in the Gallery app:

1. Open the gallery app and select a video.

2. Swipe up or tap the "i" button to open the details view.

3. The video's filename will appear under the date. If you want to edit the filename, tap the blue "Edit" button.

@Members_pOAQOdM: While I do appreciate your frustration, my own view is that the video filenames are not visible in the Gallery, as they are typically a randomly assigned series of numbers (if they have been captured on the device itself).

If you have renamed the files, or have an idea of the filename, then I recommend opening the Gallery > Tap the 3 lines in the bottom right > Videos > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Sort > Name (A to Z) > Group by date > Toggle this on. This should make it much easier for you to locate the videos you're looking for. If this isn't convenient, then you also have the option of heading to My Files > Videos > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > View > List, and this will display a list of the video file names. I hope this helps.
