UK Barclaycard Contactless Mobile payments will close in June 2023

I received an SMS regarding this and contacted Barclays and Barclaycard, they only plan to support debit cards with Google Pay but NOT credit cards ???

So after a decade of convincing customers to go contactless and use the mobile app, Barclaycard is now saying use your card !!!!!!!!!

Their IT team must be Apple luvvies as Apple Pay support continues.

Samsung Pay is a dead duck unless I use HSBC, I do use Curve but I wonder if that will work after June 2023.

@Obsydian  Will not go down well, very much a backward step and cannot see the business case (unless of course do not want to make it particularly easy for Android fans)

Try Starling.. A relatively a new bank (I think) but fantastic

I have starling linked to Samsung Pay, but at the moment don't want to change banks. Yet

So even more fuel to the fire, seems Samsung will be charging banks a fee in some regions to use Samsung Pay, seems no one is making money from contactless, yet we are marching towards a cashless society.
