Speaker not working on phone calls

When I make a phone call, everything works except for the speaker, so I have to have my phone up to my ear all the time. I have done everything except a factory reset.  Any ideas?

When you tap on speaker, have you checked that the volume is turned up?

Samsung devices are far more customisable these days so whilst you may have volume turned up when on a call, it may be on silent when on speaker.

Volume keys on right hand side of device on S Series.
