Android file transfer will not recognise my phone despite trying different usb cables and making sure its up to date. Transferring images from samsung s10 to mac. Any ideas why it's not working?

Got S20plus tried to download the new Galaxy Enchance-X photo app, but just tells me the content is not compatible with my phone. Any ideas?

I'm not sure why you mentioned Smart Switch in your title but if it's installed on your Mac it conflicts with Android File transfer so should be uninstalled.
