Just got a new Samsung A22 5G phone but Samsung Pay App wasn't transferred with Smart Switch. It says not compatible with device when I try to download from the Play Store. When I searched why this might be it suggest the phone is unlikely to have an NFC connection but I clearly do have an NFC connection in settings and furthermore I have been able to download Google Pay.
It seems odd that Samsung would build a phone with NFC firmware that wasn't compatible with their own NFC software although another Internet search does suggest this seems to be the case. Can anyone confirm before I move my contactless payment to Google Pay (probably forevermore)

How do you download nfc

@Karen Drayton You cannot download NFC onto your phone, this will be pre-installed onto your phone. You can enable NFC by heading to Settings > Connections > Tap the toggle next to NFC and contactless payments.
Do you have the A22?
