Smart Switch has no recycle bin option

I recently deleted the entire DCIM folder on my Samsung S22 Ultra via the Smart Switch application on my Mac. There is no option to recover it as if you delete a file from Smart Switch, it will be deleted permanently. It doesn't show up in the recycle bin.

Is there any solution / any way to recover this file?

Hi, and welcome to the community

Hi, Firstly, deleted items usually go to the phones recycle bin. Check your Samsung file manager.
However, if you're referring to a backup file, then was that stored on your Mac?

If you were backing up to Google Photos, then check there, similarly for Microsoft OneDrive. Check any other cloud storage you may have.

Hi @Robin999

If I delete a file using mobile's File Explorer, yes it goes to recycle bin.

However, if I connect mobile with Mac using SmartSwitch and I use Browse Files option, I get another way to delete files. This file is not showing either in Mac's Recycle Bin or in mobile's Recycle Bin. It's just gone.

Sorry, can you point out this ' Browse Files' option you have in Smartswitch, because I don't seem to have that. I don't have a 'Browse Files ' option when connected to my Android phone, tablet or Windows laptop either.
