SEPERATED APPS APP?

Good morning guys,

Just has an app update on an application called Separated Apps via the Play Store. I know it's a Samsung item, what I don't know is... what is it and what's it for and more importantly, do I need it clogging up my phone. 

Any info would be appreciated. ☺️

It's for the Knox security and is meant for Admins to protect our devices from 3rd party apps that may be dangerous to install etc

Separated Apps is a Samsung/Knox security feature mainly meant for work or enterprise phones. It creates a separate, secure space for certain apps and data — kind of like keeping “work apps” isolated from personal apps. (Google Play)

For most normal users:

• You probably don’t need to use it directly.

• It’s safe to leave installed.

• It usually takes very little space/resources.

• Removing or disabling it may cause issues with Samsung security features or future updates.

So the short answer: it’s basically a background Samsung security component, not malware or bloat you need to worry about.
