Is anyone still using Samsung messages? I prefer it to Google messages, and it does have the chat feature, so I guess it's the same as RCS to an extent.
Are Samsung really phasing messages out?

I use it, and I know there's alot on here prefer it as well. As long as you haven't uninstall the app you can still have updates to it, but once you delete the app you've lost it as you won't be able to reinstall it.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep using until they remove it.

I can't uninstall Samsung Messages,  only can disable it.

The advantage of Google Messages is that you can have RCS even if your mobile provider doesn't support it. Samsung RCS won't work if your mobile provider doesn't support it.

Thanks, however I don't really care about IPhone users being able to send an emoji to my message or seeing it. I like the layout and categories on samsung messages. It looks cleaner.
If I have to switch I will, but I'm giving the samsung and Microsoft apps a go, even Bixby!

Yes I still use Samsung Messages, Depends on Preference, to me Google Messages  seems a bit more minimalist whereas Samsung Messages is more attractive .  In Google's favour there is better RCS functionality   if that is important. only Samsung's version offers though offers a 30 day retention of deleted messages though backing up is always recommended.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Agreed. I like the extras Samaung messages offer. Hopefully it doesn't get binned.
