Samsung loves screwing users

Hi y'all,

So after using Samsung DeX for years and utilizing it for productivity, It has come to an outcome where it says "Samsung DeX isn't supported on phones running One UI 7 or later ". One question is WHY? Samsung WHY? Why would you do this. DeX has been the ultimate option for many users and now, you're just dumping it and forcing users to movr to link to windows which does nothing like Dex but only let you see your phone screen on a small area.

At this point, i feel like Samsung has started to become like other brands which doesn't care about users but their own benefit.

It's still showing on my S24 Ultra on One UI 7. It's likely to get further updates on One UI 8 as well from the current beta andand its more general inclusion for Andriod 16 Devs.

It does show but the problem is everytime i connect, it shows error message saying "DeX isn't supported for phones runnin One UI 7 or later"

● Galaxy S23 Ultra One UI 7
● Galaxy Book Laptop

Ahh yeah, I've not used the pc version sorry. I connect a HDMI cable when I use it on holiday. I use the Link to windows on my pc to show my phone app and copy pictures so I've never tried it.

Maybe go into the support section on the Members App and submit an error report
Should be working
Unfortunately Samsung doesn't monitor this forum as its customer based

It was pointed out before the launch of the S25series that it was no longer beginning supported. Even Sammobile.com covered the story informing everything about it and what you should do.

But why are they doing it? Its way better than that Microsoft App link to windows!

Ran into the same with windows. Its simply no longer available. Only option seems to be link to windows application. Been the case for a while now

Care to change the topic title? the universe nor Samsung have a lifelong commitment to keep every single feature going for eternity in all cases, and they generally do way beyond a very good job.
