I updated the application from 6.1.18.1 to 6.1.82.0 and since then it doesn't sync!!!
On the device that has the old version, everything works perfectly.
When updating the mailbox settings, the new version (6.1.82.0) writes this error message:
Failed to authenticate the account
An error occurred with the secure connection

Did that today. (Send the error report.)
And I also did the downgrade by downloading the APK from some website with a low feeling in my stomach. But I had no choice as Samsung is not providing official downloads. So users like myself who have all the important stuff and daily information (Mail, Contacts, CALENDAR entries) from an Exchange server in order to have things synced and saved, this is really a bad workaround! Because you first have to uninstall the whole app. Loose all your settings and then after the install set up everything again! 😞
Additionally, it would be really helpful for future issues (and there will be issues) to provide an option to uninstall just the update as it is possible with other apps and also that the option to disable "Auto-Update" is really working.
So now I have to wait for another update for how long?
Or do the full reinstall again and hope 2 days later the app will not be updated automatically again!!!
This is bad.

We have the same problem, with users with Samsung phones unable to access their work email when away from their desks, which is crucial to our business. I sent an error report. One user still had email version 6.1.81.1 and set the galaxy store and phone not to update but Email still updated, so he cannot access his email either.
Access to the Email changelog might provide a workaround solution, but I've been unable to find anything. Users here with iphones can still access their mail on them, which suggests an Activesync change is not the issue.

Hi Everyone,
have you checked the email Debug logs for errors. Instructions on how to grab the Debug logs can be found here: https://docs.samsungknox.com/admin/knox-platform-for-enterprise/troubleshoot/get-device-logs/
I have seen where there has been some change to how the client handles SSL connections. We ran into an issue where the SSL certificate on our load balancer to did not have a SAN entry and connections to the LB were being rejected. Updating the SSL certificates in question with the proper SAN entries addressed the issue. You may not have the exact issue, but again could be related to how SSL verification is now being handled in 6.1.82.
Good Luck

Same problem here. I guess Samsung removed "SSL - accept all certificates" which is necessary for our setup (on premise Exchange over VPN and further port forwarding). Hope it will be added again soon - or is there a hack to get it back? Until then, Bluemail works, however calendar sync in work place is not working.
Any hints welcome - except of discussions on (on premise Exchange over VPN and further port forwarding)

Thank you very much!
This solved my Problem!
I re-created my certificate and entered my actual mail server name as SAN, removed the old certificate from the phone and when updating the Exchange server settings the new certificate was loaded from the server and it worked. It just took a while for me to realize it, as in between my DDNS port forwarding broke and I was so upset that I realized only a week later on another attempt that the error message from the mail app was actually a different one. 🙃 :😀
So, thanks again!

Same problem here with a lot of older Exchange and Groupwise Servers.. I don't think that Samsung removed "SSL - accept all certificates", because at first connect the phones bring the message, that they dont trust the self signed certificate. But after accepting, the securtiy authentican error appers. In the meantime, Bluemail works, however calendar sync not alway works. I also tried the gmail-App, which is also working.
I hope that samsung will release an info, what is the reason for this error soon.
Regards
Reinhold

Hej,
Do you know if that issue was fixed? I still cannot sync anything I sent or do in the Samsung Email app with my other clients.
