Rumour Samsung taking aim at Apple Care+ but looking at the UK details but still not as seamless as Apple Care+, which, if valid, you get in a store swap there and then, not sending off elaborate claims, etc.
Previously I had taken the premium Samsung Cover underwritten by Assurant and found it no different than the basic free warranty in terms of speed and process.
What are your thoughts?
What is Samsung Care+ and how does it work? | Samsung UK

This has peace of mind for the one thing that isn't covered by warranty, the 'accidental damage' issue, and if selected also the theft... neither of these are offered in the main warranty.
I have to admit that I have not needed to claim on the Care+ over the years, and i think if it is needed to then there is an excess to pay for any repair.
If i was buying a fold phone, with the cost and investment, then i think the Care+ would definately be a good idea, just in case of any screen breakages and issues that are not covered by standard warranty. I don't usually bother with wearables and cheaper devices and willing to take a risk as they are lower cost.
I don't see any text that is different in the links and screenshot... I think for the past few years these terms have been the same. For phones that are bought outside of the samsung website directly, it is also possible to insure directly with assurrant. Therefore even if you buy the handset from a carrier or other retailer, them within a few months of new then you can get this insurance at Assurant.
Often deals can be had with a new releases phone, and also monthly terms, rather than paying for a full year at a time.
