I updated my phone to the lastest UI 7.0 and now my microsoft office apps won't open. They open for about a quarter of a second and then close.

Now I know there is a fix by using the old microsoft mobile app. Opening that and agreeing access rights to storage.

Which I did. And everything worked.

Though I got a message to say this app is no longer secure and to use the office 365 app instead. So stupidly uninstall the old microsoft mobile app and then everything stopped working again.

The old app is no longer in either the Google or Play stores and I don't have access to my old phone to use Samsung switch to side-load

I've tried all the usual clearing data, cache, uninstall and reinstall but no luck. This is absolutely ridiculous how you need an old app to make the latest ones work

Same or similar issue. Most Microsoft apps will not load since update to UI71747950105935.jpg

Same as you...S23 Ultra + Ui 7.0 - Microsoft mobile applications = -_- disaster!!!!! Tried all the restoring procedures suggested by Samsung assistance and Microsoft,  no turning point.

💥DO NOT FACTORY RESET! It will not help.

Found the solution to Microsoft apps including Excel, Word and MS365 Copilot not opening after the last Samsung update.
It is a conflict with the Office Mobile app. I could not find that app during a regular search, because it was in deep sleep in the Secure Folder. I woke it up, ensured all permissions were given, restarted, still no change. I finally uninstalled it and immediately the apps started working, no restart required. Do not move your MS apps to the Secure Folder, just remove Office Mobile app wherever it is and your MS apps should start working 😁

I used the Samsung Members app to sit on the support chat for 2 hours, where all they said to do was to restart and do a factory reset, as if they never heard of this issue. I refused to do the factory reset as I already seen where others did that to no avail. I also emailed MS Support and got zero response. Thankfully, my apps are back up and running due to removing the Office Mobile app, and here is where I finally found the answer, on about the seventh page: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5440061/office-android-apps-wont-open-after-sams...
