Hello,
I recently got my hands on the new soundbar Q950A (HW-Q950AWWB-1011.1) and discovered that I can only use the volume range between 1-15. Increasing the volume beyond that level is too loud and could potentially damage my ears. I understand that the option of having a broader range of volume is necessary for different setups but for my standard setup, I find the current range of volume more than enough. I have tested the soundbar by connecting it to my phone and Mac using Bluetooth.
Dear Samsung development team, I believe that no one will use the volume above 30. Hence, could you add a feature to your app, which would help users to adjust the soundbar's range of volume or limit its maximum volume. As a parent, I am concerned about my kids playing with the volume control on the soundbar and I am worried that it may have a negative impact on their hearing.
It would be great if the app could help to remap the maximum volume level of the soundbar. This way, when I adjust the soundbar's volume to its highest level, let's say 100%, it would only reach 30% of the actual volume. This would enable me to have a more precise way of adjusting the volume. Because otherwise, we increasing the volume by 1%, the sound increases a lot.
Thank you.

Yes would really like to have this feature too. The volume range is way too loud. I would also like to set custom profiles to switch settings when watching tv or a bluray.

Same issue here. Samsung S60D. Spotify connet volume way too loud

Same issue. Using ChromeCast/Spotify the volume is quickly set to volumes that are inappropriate for the room.

Same problem here with Spotify - why does Samsung not fix this issue?

This is so bad, can't even up the volume without my apartment shaking from 15% to 20%. I set up a Home Assistant automation to turn it down if I ever go above 20, but it takes 2-5 seconds so not ideal.

This is a ridiculous problem to still have. As others pointed out it is very difficult to make small volume adjustments when the curve is so steep. It's impossible to believe anyone would use a level above 30. I'm also curious what would happen to this this soundbar if I actually turned it up to 50 💥

@Dblanchet Honestly not much. Yesterday we accidentally had it still turned up at 60 on YouTube from another (very quiet) source. It was very loud. I turned it down to 30 and the difference compared to 60 was next to nothing. It only got noticeable quieter at below 30. @samsung FIX THE VOLUME CURVE OF YOUR SOUNDBARS! PLEASE!

Same problem here on my Q990D. It’s manifesting itself more now I’m using tidal connect and increasing the volume on the phone because each click of volume up on my iPhone I believe increases the volume by 5% which translates to increasing the volume by 5 on a scale of 1-100 but the difference between volume 11 and 16 is ridiculous. If the volume increase was more spread over the 1-100 volume range it wouldn’t be so much of an issue as an increase of 5 wouldn’t be such a huge increase in volume. I literally never use a volume over 20 as it’s far too loud which is ridiculous. Making the current volume increase between 1 and 20 happen over the range of say 1 to 60 instead would be a big improvement. Come on Samsung surely it can’t be that difficult?!

Same Problem with the Q950T. That's ridiculous. You can only use 5% of the volume bar

Same problem on the Q990F. Anything over 15 is way too loud. I'm afraid my kid is going to set the volume too high and blow out their eardrums, or the speaker. Samsung, please address this.
