Hello,
I recently got my hands on the new soundbar Q950A (HW-Q950AWWB-1011.1) and discovered that I can only use the volume range between 1-15. Increasing the volume beyond that level is too loud and could potentially damage my ears. I understand that the option of having a broader range of volume is necessary for different setups but for my standard setup, I find the current range of volume more than enough. I have tested the soundbar by connecting it to my phone and Mac using Bluetooth.
Dear Samsung development team, I believe that no one will use the volume above 30. Hence, could you add a feature to your app, which would help users to adjust the soundbar's range of volume or limit its maximum volume. As a parent, I am concerned about my kids playing with the volume control on the soundbar and I am worried that it may have a negative impact on their hearing.
It would be great if the app could help to remap the maximum volume level of the soundbar. This way, when I adjust the soundbar's volume to its highest level, let's say 100%, it would only reach 30% of the actual volume. This would enable me to have a more precise way of adjusting the volume. Because otherwise, we increasing the volume by 1%, the sound increases a lot.
Thank you.

I just bought Q990d and volume level 12 seems high enough. Level 15 is way too high.
Please help remap the levels. Sometimes level 11 seems a bit low and level 12 seems too high. High wish I had levels between 11 and 12!
I am now scared that we accidentally set the level too high and blast our ear drums. Please give me a was to limit volume ( or I am considering returning and getting a simple low rated sound bar)

+1 same issue here. It would be a huge win to remap the maximum volume level. Especially for applications that only use a slider (like Spotify, when casting), it's extremely hard to adjust the volume in a fine-grained manner in the 5-12 range.

I agree, there needs to be a remap or at least a max treshold setting equal to Sonos-settings.

How is this still an issue? The soundbar supports volume from 0 to 100, but anything above 15 is just unusable loud.. Adding a sound curve or implementing a different scale should not take years to implement into firmware..

+1 At this moment, using Spotify Connect is dangerous. Volumes above 30-40 destroy hearing.

HELLO SAMSUNG! Please implement this in the next firmware update. This is very needed! For us lvl8 is too quiet, lvl9 is WAY TOO LOUD. Very annoying.

I would also like this. The volume is insane, and would be a reason to get something else.
