Samsung has released a new update for the Samsung
Health app, and besides some changes, there's one I really don't understand. Why display only how much the temperature changed during sleep compared to the last time, instead of showing the precise temperature? For example, in the photo, it says "+1.2", but how am I supposed to know what my temperature was last time if it doesn't tell me? It makes no sense! I don't know what my temperature was yesterday, so how can I tell if "+1" or "+O" is positive or negative, seriously? Why remove the precise temperature measurements and only show the variations from the previous day? How am I supposed to know what my temperature was last night? I swear, I don't see the point because there isn't one. Terrible choice, a big downgrade. Before, it gave you precise temperature measurements in degrees; now it gives you variations. Can someone explain the poin
UPDATE
Wanna know the kicker? It's worse than I thought. Basically, that +1 at 11 isn't telling you your temperature increased by one degree compared to YESTERDAY (which would still be useless, but at least it was something). Instead, it's showing how much the temperature has changed from the very beginning, from the first data point. In fact, if you look closely, you'll see 0, +1, +1.2, +1.3, a kind of scalar progression. It shows the temperature increase from the first point, how much it varies. So, the situation is even worse-it's totally useless! But tell me my actual temperature! How am I supposed to know if the variation is positive or negative? I found this out by talking to the English-speaking community. It's absurd! People there are furious because the data they removed was useful for cycle tracking and so on. We should really wake up here too.

I've done this twice now and the reply is automated, basically saying they will take mg viewpoint into consideration. My first report was cut and dry, the second let the know they they are essentially going to loose consumers who rely on that for cycle tracking, weather for fertily or just to know their bodies. I always raised flags that they had a partnership with Natural Cycles at one point and not sure that any dated with this update would be relevant to those using that for tracking either.

they wrote me this if you are interestedDear Customer,
Regarding your request, we inform you that skin temperature data, previously displayed as absolute values, are now shown as relative values.
The cycle prediction function uses skin temperature measured during sleep to retrospectively estimate ovulation and other key menstrual phases.
Because daily trends are more important than the exact temperature itself, we have modified the display method to show whether the user's temperature is relatively higher or lower than the average.
This approach reflects each individual's basal skin temperature, helping users understand their skin temperature trends more intuitively.
However, we inform you that we have taken your suggestion into consideration, in order to add with a future update the possibility to choose whether to see the exact temperature or the percentage of variation.
Thank you for choosing to use our services. Your satisfaction is important to us.
Sincerely,
Customer Service Center
