Probably deleted Play Store and can't get it back

Hi: I have the Galaxy SM-T580 tablet which belonged to my late husband. I am competent with desk top computers, but totally new to mobile ones.
There is no Google Play Store on this tablet, nor Google Play, but only Play Books and Play Movies & TV. I believe I got rid of Play Store thinking it was just a shop for games. Now I need it to use my newspaper subscription.
HELP!! I cannot for the life of me find out how to add Play Store to the tablet. 
Is it possible to get Play Store and Play back?

Thanks. I have tried this this afternoon. I have downloaded it, but after finding the downloaded file, I get the message "For your security your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source."

go in to apps, then biometrics and security, then go down to install unknown apps

All done. What happened is that when I followed your latest instruction, I discovered that Play Store was merely disabled, not missing, so I enabled it. Now I have my newspaper! Thanks again and happy Christmas
