Unfortunately and I could be wrong too but I do I am right in this case but if yoy got your phoen from Samsung directly, then you most likely to get updates from them, if you got it from a carrier then they control the updates

If I remember right even last year the Unbranded phone from Samsung got updates months before carrier ones turned up

Yes I understand. I was also on the understanding a nation rule changed with carriers and devices in the last 2 years from the ombudsman. This is also why no UK phones are locked to carriers anymore. Fir a carrier locked device or branded device. I believe the baseband starts with S938U or U1.. mines B. Which stands for international model. So I guess. Time will tell.

Early morning on the 18th sep. Carrier software devices never release on same day... which tells me my theory is correct about them being completely un-branded anymore in UK. 1758248929705.jpg

Installed 2 days ago, no issues so far. I am finding widgets more reliable than before.

Clearing the cache partition, I haven't done that since running cyanogen on my Galaxy SIII.

Oh right, well it is personal choice but I think it helps particularly after major OS upgrades (even if One UI8 is more incremental)
