Monday April 7th 2025 sees the start of the global One UI7 update for eligible devices.....
What does this mean?
The global rollout will likely start with S24 Series in Korea, followed by the US then Europe. It will not launch into all regions at the same time as the Samsung servers rolling out the data would simply not cope.
To check if your device has an update, go to:
Settings
Software Updates
Download and Install.
This will check if there is an update available.
If there is, you can choose to download it.
If there isn't, you'll have to wait.
No amount of complaining on here will change anything.
Q. Will my device get the update on 7th April.?
A. The answer for most will be no.
Q. I bought my device from a network (I.E. EE, Vodafone or from a store I. E. Currys), will I get the update on 7th April?
A. Almost certainly no. Networks have their own software on your device which needs updating and additional testing so you'll need to wait until your network authorises the release.
Q. Why aren't all devices updated at the same time?
A. Each series uses different tech, chipsets etc. Each needs to have the software created, tested and released.
Q. One UI7 is available. Should I update?
A. The decision to update is down to the device owner to make. Most on here would say yes but it is your call.
Q. There is no update showing, can I get it any quicker by contacting Samsung Customer Services?
A. No
Q. My device has a different CSC code to devices in the early part of the rollout. Should I use ODIN to change CSC?
A. This is not recommended. You may damage or brick your device, lose warranty and lose access to your device. You may also find you still don't get One UI7 any earlier.
The rollout is imminent. But it will not all happen on the same day.. Please be patient..........
And no point complaining on here if you're not in the early phase, nothing we can do to speed it up.
