NavStar feature question

Hi, 

Can anyone explain this feature in the NavStar?

When it is toggled on, I can use the back gesture when playing a game for example (single swipe). Without it, I have to swipe 2 times for the back gesture to take effect (in the game that I tried this on, other games may not allow back gesturesbat all).

My issue is that I was using One Hand Operation + so it always worked with that and didn't make any difference. Thanks.
