Locked phone need system ui password

I switched my phone off last night and left it on charge but when I switched on its asked me for system UI password which I have never had ..only used 4digit numbers ..but it says 4 characters and 1 letter which I have used anybody know how i can get password..cant even unlock my phone

At some point you or someone who had access to your phone created a password. If you have forgotten this then you're screwed. As far as I know, a factory reset is the way forward. Anyway, wait for others to post as I could be wrong!

Thankyou but I rang Samsung support and they have sorted it for me and didn't have to reset all my information still there and they was very helpful guiding me through it x

I am experiencing this issue with my daughter's phone it suddenly began to ask for a password with at least 4 characters....... She hasn't set a password,only has a code.to get into her phone...... How did Samsung help you?
