Instagram - Won't allow me to hold on to a message to add an emoji reaction other than like? (Note 20 Ultra)

Hi All I have the Samsung note 20 ultra and for some reason instagram won't allow me to hold on to a message to add an emoji reaction other than like. My phone software and Instagram is all up to date. Has anyone else had this issue?
