Suppose I have a recurring event in my Samsung Calendar, like "Do X and Y" set to happen weekly, every Tuesday, between 10 and 11.
The calendar notification (which I set to Medium) appears on top of the screen indeed every Tuesday at 10. However, it disappears exactly at 11 (event end time).
So if I do not look at my phone between 10 and 11, I completely miss the notification.
Instead, I would like the notification to stay there until I manually dismiss it, even if that happens after the event end time.
Yes, I know that a task would be more appropriate for this, because a task notification indeed stays there until I dismiss it. So why did I create these reminders as events? Because 1) at the time I did not know tasks existed; 2) I need to have *recurring* tasks (which, unless I am shown otherwise, is not an option in Calendar).
I tried making a recurring event and then switching it to task, but that keeps only the first occurrence and deletes all others, again seeming to confirm that recurring tasks is not a thing.
That's a shame, because under all other aspect I do like how the Samsung Calendar works, and I would not want to switch to another app.
Any ideas?
Thanks
