I have the #WatchMaker app on my Samsung Note s24 Ultra and using the in-app purchase option I decided to upgrade to their premium service for a one time - lifetime upgrade.
I have had the email confirmation from The Galaxy Store confirming my purchase yet I do not get the premium service in the app.
When I attempt to purchase again, it gives me an error saying that I have already purchased the upgrade!
I have emailed help@getwatchmaker.com and admin.androidslide@gmail.com without any response whatsoever. Before I approach my bank and request a Section 75 is triggered, I wondered if anyone could advise me on how to approach the Samsung Galaxy Store to obtain a refund.
I cannot see an in-app option for contacting the app developer or for requesting a refund, like some other apps have, and I cannot find anywhere on the Galaxy Store about how to request a refund.
Not a huge amount of money, but its the principle and if other people are also having the same issues, its not a bad little scam earner for the developer!

Your purchase would be below £100 which is the threshold for S75 when paying by CREDIT CARD. (not debit card).
You've followed the right processes above so you can reach out to your back to ask if they would consider a Chargeback but note this is Bank dependant and is not guaranteed.

Fair point noted about section 75 value, missed that.
I have tracked down. The directors of the business through companies house aand in the process of obtaining their email addresses.
Will keep you posted

I know there is a principle to the issue, but to go through the hassles and effort of making some claim for a few quid in costs, is probably a lot more hassle than it is worth.
Even just writing a formal letter or email, going through companies house, or to try and claim back your costs are simply sometimes just not worth the time and effort.
Unfortunately not all sellers are honest, and some companies do hope that users won't bother to go through that process. Therefore if you think it is worth your effort then dont let my comments stop you.
I have made some 'poor choices' in the past for purchasing an app or a service... and find it was a wasted cost... although sadly to just need to learn and not make the same mistake again.
Good luck whatever you decide. I hope you find some resolution.

Hey Smiley
I absolutely hear you and the premium was less than £10, so in terms of my time... is it worth it?... NO !
However, its not right! So, for the sake of a couple of emails then it is absolutely worth it!
Incidentally, finding out the directors, through the companies house search, then a web search of the main couple led me to their house plan applications, so I now know exactly where they live! Not that I act in a threatening manner, but just to demonstrate that when you put your information in the public domain, it is very worrying what people can find out!
Way off topic now. I will continue to send an email here and there, for my own amusement I suppose now, just to see what happens!
I will keep you all posted!

I appreciate your input. When you find it, let me know, because I cannot discover anything of the sort!
Google play on the other hand was very straight forward and instant resolution!
I suppose my message here is to other users, careful which store you are purchasing in. Google Play I have had good experience, Galaxy Store... Terrible so far!

The app was already downloaded. I was looking to upgrade to premium via the in-app purchase. I have a receipt from Galaxy Store confirming this purchase. When I went to use the premium element it would not let me, guiding me to purchase the premium. When I attempted to purchase again I get the error message saying it had already been purchased.
There is nowhere I can go with that!
