Samsung health has stopped taking my age into account when calculating the heart rate zone I'm working out in. My profile has the correct date of birth? Any ideas

Hey @DougyW

Which phone phone and watch are you using? Have you tried clearing the app cache to see if this helps? You can do this by heading into Settings > Apps > Samsung Health > Storage > Clear cache.

I have this problem too: my max heart rate went from 157 to 189. Changing my birth year in my Samsung account cleared it for a while but it reverted back. I also tried clearing the cache and reinstalling SH. No joy.

Hi yes I've cleared the cache and changed my DOB and then back to no avail. I have a Note 9 and Galaxy Watch 48mm. The watch picks it up correctly until I sync to the phone. Its annoying as I used this to regulate my workouts

Same here. Used to be able to force it by opening my profile, but that no longer works. It's infuriating. Why doesn't Samsung test this app properly? Watch Active 2, S20+, all up to date.

Hey all,

Please head into the Google Play Store > Locate the Wearable app > Ensure it's running on the latest software. Once you've done this, ensure the watch is running on the latest software by heading into the Wearable app > Home > Watch software update > Download and install

If all is well here, please try resetting the watch but I'd advise backing up the data beforehand by heading into the Wearable app > Account and backup > Ensure the right account is selected > Backup and restore > Backup data. After backing up the data, on your phone, head into Settings > General > Reset.

I have tried these actions multiple times and still the heart rate zones stubbornly stick to their default, incorrect ranges, making them completely useless. I've had this problem since a bought the watch in June, still no fix.

I found that the fix for this is MUCH simpler than any suggestions made by Samsung. I uninstalled the Health Monitoring app from my phone, and reinstalled it. Now, my HR Zones are accurately corrected for my age.

Pitiful that Samsung has not been suggesting this. I did a reset for nothing. No big loss since my watch was fairly new. But...

Uninstaller the Health Monitoring app from your phone apps. Then, reinstall it. That immediately fixed this issue for me. Good luck!
