News that there has been a 47% decline in the number of apps available on Google's Play store since the start of 2024,however still 1.8 million available. This is not really a negative development as the minimum quality standard has been raised, apps are banned not just for being broken or not functioning properly but can also be blocked if they demonstrate little functionality or content .

stronger threat protection and privacy policies have also prevented violating or harmful apps from being published.

All brings confidence to trust more what's available officially
Wonder how many have been blocked from getting on the Playstore
But have to say that even if it's a small number. I feel more trusting of the Playstore recently

I was told there are still many bad apps on there so l stick to well known companies as reviews can be faked
