As title goes - Phone was stolen 5 months ago, I locked it via the website that day. Get an email saying its found 8 hours ago - I login and can only see my current phone. Completely gone off the list of devices.

Sounds like whoever has found it has done a factory reset on it - that's the only reason I can think of why it's no longer showing on STF.

But even if they did that, they'd need your google details, if linked, to be able to set up phone again so it's useless to them really.

I find it odd that doing that would remove it from my devices list, you'd think it would at the least stay there so I could see its last location after they just notified me it'd been found. Either way i've been told to contact the accounts team on Monday. Hopefully they can get it back.

You need to be signed into your Samsung account for a device to show in STF.

If a data reset has happened then the device is no longer signed into your account as your data has been wiped so it's not going to show in STF.

If they allowed a device to remain on STF after a wipe/removal of account then I'm sure that would raise some questions around security and privacy of people who buy phones refurbished etc.
