SAMSUNG TV 2024 - Purchased as an upgrade to continue using Ring Camera TV notifications
After two weeks of head-scratching, reading, searching, and testing, I finally concluded that when Samsung said Ring stopped support for pre-2021 TVs and anything newer is supported. However what was never mentioned or even Tech support aware is that the Ring TV app no longer exists, so the Samsung solution is to use Smartthings mobile and TV apps. Firstly it barely works for on-demand live mode, motion or ring worked once and failed.
SOLUTION - I logged into the Alexa TV app switched off Bixby and now I can at least on-demand Live view, I need to add a Firestick to receive the PiP popup notifications.
SMART THINGS - Lack of integration with most major non-Korean brands
From Hive, Eufy and automation options it is so closed it is barely useable.
SOLUTION - Messy workaround with IFTT, but again Smartthings is always the roadblock
SAMSUNG BOOK PRO - Windows link and Bluetooth
I have two Pro Books, but neither works with my Buds2 Pro, non-sync the Samsung Gallery, other examples mean Windows ink, and Phone Link are all buggy and useable fail, including Quick Share
SOLUTION - None I think the Samsung / Windows / Microsoft Marriage started well but seems an acrimonious slow and steady build-up to a divorce
