Why can't Samsung Cloud be better?

I love the Samsung ecosystem, but I feel like the cloud experience could be so much better if it were on par with what Apple offers. Apple’s iCloud has become an indispensable tool for millions, offering seamless syncing across devices and easy access to files from anywhere on the web. Why can’t Samsung provide a similar service that syncs everything on the phone, making it accessible online anytime, anywhere?

What if we could have the same level of simplicity and reliability? What if we could access all of our photos, documents, and app data from any browser, with no barriers? And why are we not being given a clear, easy-to-understand pricing structure, like Apple’s £0.99 for 50GB, £2.49 for 1TB, and £7.99 for 2TB?

Wouldn't it be great to have cloud services as simple and accessible as iCloud, with a pricing model that makes sense for everyday users? Surely, offering this level of service could make Samsung Cloud a true competitor in the cloud storage space.

Samsung could listen to their customers if more and more.people raise concerns about it. It’s time for a change, don’t you think?

Best regards,
A loyal Samsung user

Samsung Cloud i believe just uses Microsofts OneDrive now. So options are:

1. Get an MS365 Subscription that offers 1TB of storage.

2. As devices are Android based Google offers many tiers of storage space for a reasonable cost.

With those options above there would be no incentive for Samsung to do anything different as the options are there. I personally would suggest use Google as if you move to another OEM device it just makes life easier.

I already have those subscriptions. You don't get my point. My MAIN POINT was Samsung Integrity within their OWN Ecosystem. Meaning they could've created their Cloud very similar to Apple that would give Us the Samsung users a competitive edge over Apple users or other Android users such as Google as they only offer partial backups like photos and contacts.

I realise that some feel that  Samsung cloud has been downgraded  and would like additional functionality . However Samsung has moved away from that approach and has strong relationships with Microsoft and Google.  The option is now to sync photos/videos/music/files with One Drive or use other services.

Samsung Cloud now just backs up:

  • Phone: call and message history
  • Messages: enhanced messages, multimedia messages and text messages (some large files may not be backed up)
  • Contacts (saved on the device): contacts, email addresses and business cards
  • Calendar (saved on the device): schedules, events and tasks
  • Clock: alarms, world clocks, and timers
  • Settings: accessibility settings, ringtones (excluding default ringtones), Samsung keyboard options, Wi-Fi settings, paired Bluetooth devices, facial recognition settings, fingerprint settings and Always on Display settings
  • Home screen: layout, wallpapers (excluding default wallpapers) and Samsung DeX settings
  • Apps: Installation files and Samsung’s app settings
  • Voice recorder: recordings

Do not think there is  much chance of a cloud similar to apple in the present climate

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
