Facebook Messanger issue

Hello. I have an S24. I'm having issues sending videos on Facebook messenger. Every time I try to send one, it either gets stuck on "sending..." or immediately says unable to send. I have no problem sending pictures, the video isn't long or super high quality. My internet connection is fine. I logged into my account on my wife's phone and was able to send the video with no issue.

I've deleted and redownloaded messenger. I've cleared the cache. I've tried everything I can think of. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a way I can fix it? I've dealt with this for months and I'm tired of it.

Me and my partner are having the same issues or similar. I have S24 Ultra she has s21 compact. I've been needing to delete cache etc for around 18months or so to open notifications in Facebook and i did have the Messenger issue but I only occasionally have the Facebook issue now so deleting the cache and force stopping it works for me, my partner however is having messenger issues of messages not sending and appears to need to delete the cache pretty much everytine to send a message.
This has only been happing for her the last few days since Samsung update.
Very frustrating.

Uninstall your current Facebook Messenger and install this version. Remove auto-update as well. For me, it's working now without any issues.

Clearing the cache does nothing for me. I've looked through the app details, but can't seem to find a force stop option. I know it exists, so I'm confused on why I can't find it.

It's there right at the bottom of the screen as soon as you investigate the app.

I think i found a fix!! Settings > Apps > Messenger > Battery and turn off optimization for messenger!! Just change it to "unrestricted"! ChatGPT said this because I guess the heavy battery saving restrictions in the new update have been causing issues in messenger apps.

Yay im so happy!! I think im the first one on the internet to find this out because I can't find it ANYWHERE so im just out here telling everybody 🤣
