I have a Samsung S23. I have been trying to change my default email to where it asks how I want to send it, either through Gmail or Outlook. For some reason, it now defaults to Gmail. I tried to change this, but cannot find a way to.
I have gone to Settings-Apps-Default Apps, and email is not listed.
I've gone to Settings-Apps-Gmail, and I get no option there.
Is there way to go back where I can choose.

@aeharrison: Please can you clarify the steps you are taking prior to encountering this issue i.e. what are you attempting to send, and from where?
You do have the option of heading to Settings > Apps > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Reset app preferences, as this will present app options when certain actions are performed on your S23. In this instance, do not select 'Always' when you make your choice.

I attempted to send an email last night, and I didn't get the usual prompt that gives me the two options for email and the option to choose just once or always, it just popped up the email. I've had the phone for a couple of years, and it's never done that before.
So the only options is to reset the phone? If this happens again, well I have to reset it again? Every thing else seems to have an option to fix it within the app setting, but this one doesn't?

Also, I did select the three dots and reset preference; it still isn't letting me choose emails.

@aeharrison: Which app are you using to compose the email? If you have a preference, you may wish to consider using the dedicated Gmail or Outlook apps to compose and send your emails.

After I reset all the preferences and restarted the phone, it gave me options again. I cannot used a dedicated email for everything I send: One is a personal account, and the other is a dedicated work email.
I will have to reset my other apps, especially my glucose monitor. I will take it into a store and see if they can determine why I can't set or clear defaults.
Thank you,
aeharrison
