Cannot login the smart things app

Hi all,

I'm trying to get my smart things app to work so I can connect my new samsung TV to my phone. I need to be logged in in-app to add the TV. When I try to log in the app opens up my browser, pulls up my account and just has me press the 'Continue' button. When I press it though, nothing happens. I get sent back to the app not being logged in.

I literally only use my TV to cast from my phone, it is currently useless to me. If this cannot be fixed I will have to send it back.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi @jshsjsjs  Welcome to the Samsung community :smiling-face:

Try rebooting both your TV and your phone initially.  

However you may need to reset the Network connections,General Mangement-Reset.  Resert Wifi and Bluetooth settings or all Settings.

you may though need to clear the cache and Data of the Smart Things App or reinstall if still issues.

Whilst should not be a problem signing in if logged into your Samsung Account you could change the Default Browser. Go to Settings-Apps-Default Apps-Browser App.
