Hi everyone,

I’ve been a long-time user of Google Calendar and have recently upgraded to the Samsung A55 (amazing phone, by the way!). However, I’m having an issue with Samsung Calendar that’s driving me mad.

I’m getting endless notifications from Samsung Calendar, and I can’t seem to stop them. I’ve tried disabling notifications through the settings, but Samsung Calendar doesn’t even appear in the app list. I even tried uninstalling the app, but somehow the notifications keep coming through—even after I deleted it. Go figure!

I’ve searched forums but haven’t found anything that addresses my specific issue. I really just want to stick with Google Calendar, but it seems almost impossible to fully get rid of Samsung Calendar.

If anyone knows a solution, I’d be so grateful. 🙏

Thanks in advance!

Yes I did that already but I think I've done it, I cleared the cache and deleted all data from Samsung calendar. It then asked me to allow notifications and I declined and same as synch. So far I'm only getting Google notifications... Fingers crossed 🤞. Thanks for your help 👏👏👏

Why do you still have Samsung calendar if you uninstall it ??
Go to Settings > apps > calendar, uninstall it

Then go to Settings > security and privacy > permission manager > calendar , remove Samsung calendar permissions if it is still there

Then go to Settings > notifications > apps notifications > from the top choose show system apps > calendar, this is Samsung calendar notifications of it's still there, turn it off

I have tried all that but it seems to not want to be deleted. It says deleted but notifications still come, in all my years of having mobiles I've never encountered a problem like this before. It's like its still embedded in the system. I'm using android 14..

Same problem here. In the app settings Notifications Allowed is greyed out so I can't turn it off. I've tried uninstalling, tried the Accounts Settings advice given above and the relevant toggle is already set. This wretched Samsung calendar is the Creature from the Black Lagoon!
