Android Auto is not recognizing usb cables as data cables. I have tried 7 different cables, 3 of which worked with AA in the past. AA has been updated on all phones. The phones are paired and work just fine with the pickup. The pickup is a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. One of the cables is rated at 40gbs data speed, all are less than a year old, the 40 gbs cable was just purchased from Amazon last week. I have tried with 3 different phones, 2 Samsung A53, and 1 Motorola G power, all three phones worked up until about 3 days ago. I have uninstalled/updated AA.

Seems you not the only one with this issue. I don't know a solution but you could also report an error. Just incase it is a bug in latest update. Motorola won't recognise either so it may not be a bug.

I have used Android auto for a longtime now and lost count of the cables I have tried, failed, repeat.

Samsung originals work but don't last long, probably due to bends and subjected to vibrations.

I key tip before disposing of cables is to purchase some compressed air, blow out the cable both ends, the mobile port and the car port.
