All food search no longer linking to correct database.
1) Error code/message: no error message triggered.
2) Description of error: when adding new branded and supermarket items in the Samsung Health app, the 'Search for food or restaurant' option is used as a free text field with the 'All' (rather then 'Custom') option selected.
The following issue was first noted at approx. 14:00 GMT on Wed 30 Oct.
The query is not being routed to the correct database holding UK values anymore, so it is not returning correct results.
Example test: although I do not eat takeaway food, querying KFC brings back Arabic options!!! While querying UK supermarkets like Aldi and Sainsbury's, etc., also no longer lists all items when queried, when this always used to work to return accurate UK results based on keywords searched. Something has happened.
Now, any food item searches that happen to include keywords I have previously historically queried results in entries I have previously saved in 'Custom' foods showing up in 'All' foods...
My (repeated!) actions: App has been 'force stopped';I have cleared the cache; I have checked to see if there was an app version update pending (there wasn't, until an update a couple of days ago to v6.28.2.003); and I have done a hard reboot (device restart); and checked/confirmed my location.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the app, multiple times, from Google Play Store and Galaxy Store, restoring my Profile data each time.
Nothing works.
I have looked via Google and YouTube for solutions. I have flagged this problem with Samsung support.
After 9 years of happily using this app to monitor my calorie intake, it is incredibly frustrating not to be able to search for UK supermarket and branded food items to add/build as saveable Custom items anymore.
Someone please help! I need a viable, logical resolution. ☹️
