@privateme: Please try heading to Settings > Apps > Choose default apps > Browser app > Firefox. Let me know if this helps.

I used to think it was just another unnecessary Samsung app they were pushing on their phones, but since I actually started using it, I have found it to be superior to both chrome and Firefox in many ways.

@privateme: It is possible that Bixby, as a Samsung feature, is optimised for use with the Samsung Internet app while giving voice commands. Why not give it a go, as you should find that it meets the same requirements as your preferred browser app.

"Why not give it a go"...
Except it doesn't, Andrew (who is paid by Samsung) because Samsung doesn't have a Windows browser, so no desktop syncing... fascilitating the need for two browsers and two bookmark lists.
Samsung is also far too reliant on data hungry partnerships with the likes of Microsoft and Google (amongst hundreds of others) to even be worth considering.
Bixby is decent but the fact it forces you to use the restrictive Samsung Internet, which runs on the Internet destroying Chromium engine is a big no. The same V.A that must have voice wake up on instead of button press to even accept voice related queries (makes zero sense).
This is the same company, remember, that hasn't got its own cloud storage solution, bloats it's phones, bakes systems into its phones that 99% of naive users have no clue about and end up parting their user data to hundreds of partners and advertisers. The same company forcing Google messages down everyone's throat and is always discontinuing its own services, whether it be on their smartphones, TVs or other devices.
Samsung is greedy, like almost any other business, but they're lazy as well.
