Hi, I have a 28 month old WW90T534DAW. washing machine. During a colour wash I noticed a burning smell. After turning off the machine and pulling it out I found the plug had overheated. Pics below:

After contacting customer services they informed me that the machine is out of warranty (4 months).

Regardless of the warranty, this would never happen. No fuse tripped, this could have caused a fire.

I am now awaiting a call back to find out when someone can come and investigate and tell me if it’s the machine/house fault.

Has anyone ever come across a fault similar to this. I personally never want to use this again, we normally do our washing when we are out of the house!

This has happened to loads of owners of the same model. Please co tact BBC watchdog and also log it with trading standards. The more that do this the more likely we'll find out what is really happening. Samsun are hiding something. They are very quick to send out an engineer for free.
