Using Laundry Cleanser with autodose

Just bought a Samsung washing machine with autodose and wondered if I put laundry cleanser in the manual section, will it still get to the drum?  I’ve seen a couple of similar questions but no definite answer.

yes it will - but from what I make out you use the cleanser 'instead of' the fabric softener , thats what they the (dettol)  manufacturer say anyway when I asked them/emailed them once, so you could put it in the autodose where the softener goes (if it does not ruin the autodose pump /seals) - if not, then yes you can use the middle 'manual dose' compartment but you will just have to remember to put it in manually just before the last rinse on the cycle or it will go in too early  .

Thanks Andy. The cleanser I use is separate to softener so I’ll try it in the manual section. 
Just out of interest, why do I need to add it before the last rinse?

only because Dettol told me that their laundry Cleanser is used instead of the fabric softener - if you put it in at the start of the wash cycle in the manual compartment then it will go in with the soap detergent instead of at rinse/fabric softener time - I shouldnt think it will hurt putting it in with the wash cycle except for it will all rinse out in the final rinses and you wont get any of the benefits of adding laundry cleanser
