Samsung Auto dispense explained

Hello! Could someone explain me the auto dispense feature. I was told at the shop and understood myself as well that my washing machine will detect the weight of the laundry and dispense the right amount of softener and detergent on that. Still I need to choose the dose per wash and rinse myself for 3 different options?

I understand that it is automatic while I choose what the dosage is but what about the auto detection for the amount? That I understood it does?

I recall from the recent 2024 washing machine demo, once you fill it, it does the rest.

Are you asking or saying you have to select the 3 options manually?

I'm asking what is the purpose or the function behind that 3 options set under settings then if the machine dispenses liquids on its own for the correct dose

It basically gives a machine a guide as to how much it should use based on soil level. Choose low for freshening up items, medium for normal laundry, and high for heavily soiled laundry.

Fabric conditioner/softener works the same way. It depends on what you want. Low for a small amount and high for a larger dose.

Different programmes have different detergent and conditioner parameters. For example, on Towels, the machine never uses as much conditioner on the high setting as it would on the Cotton programme for the same 4kg load. The maximum laundry weight shown on the display is also used by the auto dose system to prevent under or over dosing. For example, a 15 min quick wash can only wash up to 2kg and doesn't have load sensing. The machine will not dispense more detergent than what would be adequate for a 2kg load even with the high setting selected. It's a bit complicated but it all works well. If in doubt, stick to the medium settings for both detergent and conditioner. Hope this helps

Why the heck is there only one tank for the auto detergent , but everyone uses two different detergents for colors and whites all the time ?
