Has anyone else had an issue with damage to the enamel coating after the self cleaning cycle? I haven’t had a response from Samsung yet, but I’ve read it’s considered accidental damage and not covered under warranty?

I bought an bespoke range oven half year ago (and yes less than one year!) and now I encountered the same issue as you. I never use the self cleaning cycle / any cleaner to clean the oven but the coating still peeled off bit by bit. I found some small glass-like sharp chips peeling off from the top edge of the oven from time to time now. I am worried about it will cause damage and health issue! Contacted Samsung UK today and they first said it is so call "physical damage" and said it is not covered by the warranty. It didn't make any sense - I never touch the internal walls of the oven and the coating peeled off bit by bit now! Tried to search online and found that quite a lot of people around the world having the same issue with Samsung Ovens. The product seems defective. Still waiting Samsung's response at the moment.

@NF3 any update/follow up for your case?

Hi. Samsung responded to say it was considered’wear and tear’…I also have an issue with the falvanised powder like coating on the built in fan rubbing off too… you guessed it, ‘wear and tear’ 😡

Thank you for providing us photos. We would deem this as wear and tear. However, we would advise you to follow the cleaning products instructions to avoid this happening in the future. ^CM
My response as follows:

Thanks for the response. However I have followed your recommendations to the letter. My previous oven or hob wasn’t damaged like this after 20 years of ‘wear and tear’. So I’m disappointed in the quality of your products, as, I see, are countless others 😢
I’ll be sharing this with my suppliers and advising them to stock another brand. Feel free to share this feedback as you see fit- I will.
Kind Regards

Hi @AntS ,

Samsung LiveChat support said the Samsung Product Liaison Team will be in contact within 24-48 hours however I didn't hear back from Samsung over 3 days now. This issue become more serious now I think it is potentially a safety issue for all your customers who own this oven. I had sent a Private Message to @Sam_UK so hopefully your team can follow up this asap. Thanks.
