Oven shuts off and clock resets when I turn on burner

This problem started a couple months ago, but when I have something in the oven, and then I turn on one of the burners on the range, the oven turns off, and the clock resets.  It used to be random, now it does it every time I turn on the range.  Not sure what the issue is.

Hey @StLThrash ,

I would happily take a look at this with you. Can you confirm what oven model are you using? Does this happen with all temperatures and modes or one in particular?

I am having the same problem. Whole oven (clock, and oven itself if it's on) resets (turns off then back on, but not if I'm baking - clock will reset, but oven will turn off and not resume from where it was set) when I use any burner. Tried resetting the circuit breaker - left it off for about 5 minutes. No change. Tried plugging into a different outlet. No change. Which leads me to believe this is an internal issue to the range. If it was only the clock, this wouldn't be such a big deal, but the whole oven turning off is a much bigger problem. Help!

Did you ever get a reply because this just started happening to me too and I need to know if I should just get a new oven.

Never did, but the issue resolved itself gratefully. We had been doing some work on the backsplash and must have jostled a connection. We did a little more jostling, and voila! This leads me to conclude it was about some kind of connection that got re-connected. So, maybe just try and Fonzi it. Good luck!

I had the same issue with my Samsung stove.  A few months after this issue began occurring (and getting worse as time went on), I got a C-F2 error (a system board chip fried - it's a known issue).  The two issues are not related.  I called Samsung to have it worked on while still under warranty.  Initially the service guy replaced the system board, correcting the C-F2 error, but it had no effect on the board resetting itself when baking and turning on the burners.  He went back to the shop and got another new system board and all new wiring harnesses and components.  He changed the system board again and the issue was not corrected.  He then replaced the Spark Unit and it fixed the issue.
