I bought a samsung washing machine.
I want the ability to interact with the washing machine, so installed smartthings. But that is all I want. I don't want to switch over to smartthings for audio or anything else. I have other brands for other parts of home automation and I'm totally happy with that setup.
Smartthings is acting like it wants to invade my phone experience. E.g. Every time I get in my car I see a smartthings prompt for Audio Output and it drives me nuts. I already have my own setup that works, and smartthings is just getting in the way.
How can I limit smartthings to only work with the washing machine?

You can go to notification settings and turn off Smart Things notifications.

That would mean I would not received a notification when the washing machine has finished its load.
Granular control is the requirement. Plenty of other smart systems offer this, it should be no big deal for Samsung to include it.

I had the same problem but I do not use smart things so I just followed hirkirs advice. If you have a Samsung phone there is the option to just turn off audio output
