fridge frezer RB38T603DB1 - distances

what should be the distance between the fridge and the wall behind and the furniture sidewalls? 
I have the space between furniture sidewalls about 60mm. Is that an obstacle that cannot be overcome?

there is written "recommended". So I understand it is not the must. What can happen if I will not keep the distance between the furniture sidewalls? Can it damage? Higher energy consumption? 

There are similar fridges which I can put inside the furniture without the distance between sidewalls?
